What we deliver

Everything your WordPress site needs

Hosting, security, updates, development, design and content — run as one service instead of six suppliers

Your site runs on infrastructure we operate in the EU, not on an oversold shared server. Daily off-site backups, a staging copy of the site, TLS, caching and uptime monitoring are part of the service rather than add-ons, and we are the people who answer when something is slow.

EU hosting · daily off-site backups · staging copy

Most WordPress compromises arrive through a plugin, not through core. We cut the plugin list down to what earns its place, put the login behind multi-factor authentication and rate limits, filter hostile traffic before it reaches PHP, and watch the advisories for the plugins you actually run.

MFA · firewall rules · plugin advisories watched

Core, plugin and theme updates go to the staging copy first, the pages that matter are checked, and only then does production change — during working hours, with a backup taken minutes before. Untested automatic updates are how one plugin release takes a checkout or a contact form down.

Staging first · backup before every update

PHP 8.1 is already end of life, and PHP 8.2 stops receiving security fixes on 31 December 2026. WordPress recommends 8.3 or newer. We move the site to a supported PHP version and fix the plugin and theme incompatibilities that the move uncovers, before your visitors find them.

PHP 8.3+ · compatibility checked on staging

New features, custom blocks, theme work and full redesigns, built as code under version control rather than another stack of page-builder plugins. That means faster pages, fewer moving parts to patch, and a site the next developer can actually read.

Custom blocks · redesigns · Core Web Vitals

Send us the new text, the new page, the updated price list or the photos from last week and we publish them. No passwords to share, no waiting for a freelancer to be free, and someone who already knows how your site is put together.

Who we help

Sites that are nobody's job

The three situations we are asked to take on most often.

Businesses Whose Website Has No Owner

The site was built by someone who has since moved on. Plugins nag for updates, nobody is sure what the hosting bill covers, and every content change waits for whoever has a free afternoon. We take the whole site on — hosting, updates, security and the changes you need — and you get one place to send requests.

Agencies That Want Maintenance Off Their Plate

You build good sites; keeping dozens of them patched is a different job, and it is rarely priced into the retainer. We run the hosting, updates and security behind your client sites — under your brand if you prefer — so your team stays on new work and your clients stay on supported software.

Sites That Were Hacked, or Nearly

A redirect to a spam page, an admin account nobody created, a warning from Google or from your host. We clean the site, find the way in and close it, rotate every credential, and then put the routine in place that stops it happening again.

Staging first, then production

Updates that never surprise production

Every update is rehearsed on a copy of your site before it touches the real one. Core files are checked against WordPress.org checksums, a backup is taken, the pages that matter are tested — and only then does production change, during working hours.

Outcomes & method

WordPress without the weekend surprises

A WordPress site does not break on the day people stop looking after it. It breaks months later, when a plugin nobody updated is disclosed and scanned for. We start by finding out what is actually installed and exposed, take over hosting and updates without downtime, and then keep a routine running that you can see.

Business outcomes
  1. 01

    Fewer moving parts

Every plugin removed is attack surface deleted for good. Sites usually come out of onboarding lighter, faster and easier to keep current.

  2. 02

Updates that stop being a gamble

Rehearsed on staging, applied during working hours, with a backup taken minutes before. Rolling back becomes a decision, not a rescue.

  3. 03

    One team to call

Hosting, security, development and content sit with people who know your site, instead of four suppliers pointing at each other.

How we implement
  1. 01

    Audit

We inventory WordPress, PHP, plugins, themes, user accounts and hosting, flag what is outdated, abandoned or exposed, and give you a written list of what we would fix first.

  2. 02

    Migrate & harden

We move the site onto our hosting with a staging copy alongside it, without downtime, then remove what is not earning its place and lock down logins and admin access.

  3. 03

    Run the routine

Monitored, backed up and updated on a schedule, with content and development requests handled as they come in, and a log of every change we make.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers about scope, timelines, and how engagements with our WordPress team usually look.

Hosting, daily off-site backups, a staging copy of the site, core, plugin, theme and PHP updates tested on staging before they reach production, security hardening and monitoring, uptime monitoring, and content changes and small fixes on request. Larger development work — a redesign, a new feature, a custom integration — is scoped and agreed with you before it starts.
Hosting is part of the service because it is where most of the control sits: backups you can restore, a staging copy, the PHP version and the firewall rules in front of the site. Moving is done without downtime. If you have a reason to stay where you are, tell us in the assessment and we will say honestly whether we can maintain the site properly there.
WordPress already applies minor core releases automatically, and that is fine. The risk is in plugin and theme updates applied untested to a live site: an update that conflicts with another plugin or with your theme can break a checkout or a contact form, and nobody notices until a customer does. We apply updates on staging first, check the pages that matter, and only then update production, with a backup taken just before.
A supported one. PHP 8.1 reached end of life on 31 December 2025, and PHP 8.2 stops receiving security fixes on 31 December 2026. WordPress recommends PHP 8.3 or newer. Changing the version is quick; the real work is confirming that every plugin and the theme run on it, which is why we do it on staging first.
We take a copy for analysis, clean the site or restore it from a clean backup, find how the attacker got in and close that route, remove backdoors and unknown accounts, and rotate every credential — WordPress users, database, hosting and API keys. If Google or your browser shows a warning, we request the review once the site is clean. Then the site goes onto the same update and monitoring routine as every other site we look after.
Yes. We can run the hosting, updates and security for your client sites with your agency as the client’s point of contact, or work directly with your clients if you prefer. Either way you keep the relationship and the design work, and the sites stay on supported, monitored software.
Usually not. For most sites a well-maintained WordPress install is the right call: the plugin ecosystem and the familiarity of the admin are real advantages, and keeping it patched is exactly what this service is for. If your site takes payments or holds personal data and you would rather not carry plugin risk at all, Privum CMS — our managed CMS with no plugins and no admin panel on the public site — is the next step. The assessment tells you which fits.
A review of your WordPress and PHP versions, installed plugins and themes (outdated, abandoned or with known vulnerabilities), user accounts and how the admin is exposed, hosting, backups and TLS. You receive a written report with what to fix first and how we would take the site on. No obligation to engage us afterwards.

Want to know where WordPress breaches actually come from? We wrote up why client WordPress sites keep getting hacked, and what to do when a flaw lands in PHP itself, as with PHP2Shell. If a site has outgrown WordPress, Privum CMS is the next step, and our cybersecurity practice runs the external tests.
